The plastic splash shield under the front of my car broke off dragging on the pavement. But I needed to drive to my sister’s graduation the next day. Based on its good reviews on Google Maps, I called Advanced Auto Care, and they got me in right away without an appointment. They said a replacement splash shield would cost $300 plus labor, so they reattached it with zip ties. In person and on the receipt, they explained the three C’s — complaint, cause, and correction. They didn’t charge anything — just gave me a business card and said to come back next time. In comparison, I took my car to Meineke a few years ago for an oil change, but they acted pushy — tried to up-sell me on an excessively expensive repair. Therefore, if you have car trouble, I recommend Advanced Auto Care or another independent mechanic.
